80th anniversary of the Holodomor Remembrance

A meeting to commemorate the Holodomor of 1932 – 1933 in Ukraine was held at the Ukrainian Club on November 24, 2013.
On this occasion an exhibition displaying posters and reading material was set up in the Club’s main hall and documentaries “HOLODOMOR the Movie” and “Bread Guillotine” were shown.
M.Ostapko, Chairman of the AUGB Branch on behalf of the City of Edinburgh Council handed over to the Consul General of Ukraine the letter of the Lord Provost Rt Hon D.Wilson conveying deepest sympathy to the Ukrainian community on the 80th anniversary of the Holodomor and support to the commemoration of this tragedy.
