Annual pilgrimage to Carfin

On Sunday 27th October 2013 the congregation of the Ukrainian Church in Edinburgh made their annual excursion to Carfin for a service in the church followed by the march to the Ukrainian memorial.
The events started with a service in front of a congregationafter which the procession marched to the monument erected in 1977 in memory of all those who gave their lives for the faith and freedom of Ukraine.
At the monument, the participants laid a wreath of blue and yellow blooms on behalf of the Edinburgh Branch of the Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain and a bouquet of red roses – on behalf of the Consulate General of Ukraine.
