On 9 May 2013the Consulate General of Ukraine took part in the wreath-laying ceremony at Dundee Submarine Memorial commemorating seamen from Great Britain, USSR, the Netherlands, Norway and France who died in Northern Atlantic during Second World War.
The ceremony was led by Lord Provost of Dundee Bob Duncan. The event was attended by Members of the Submariners Association, officials of the Consulates General of the Russian Federation and of Ukraine in Edinburgh and members of their families.
Short prayers were said by Mr Charles Webster, Deputy Lord-Lieutenant, and by Russian Orthodox Priest Rev Dr George Zavershinskiy.
