The Consulate of Ukraine in Edinburgh expresses its concern over the media reports about possible cases of sexual harassment of Ukrainian citizens by a local government official.

We support a thorough investigation of the allegations by the Scottish authorities in order to ensure justice and support for all victims. Our goal is to protect the rights and dignity of Ukrainian citizens who have been forced to seek temporary sanctuary in Scotland due to Russia’s war against Ukraine.

We call on all concerned to act with understanding, tolerance and respect for human rights.
