On the 30th anniversary of independence of Ukraine and the 75 anniversary of the post war arrival of Ukrainian people our diplomats have become more environmental. Ukrainians in Scotland took part in the global action “Greening of the planet”.
The UN Climate Change Conference COP-26 will be held in Glasgow (Scotland, UK) from 1st to 12 of November.
The representatives of Edinburgh and Glasgow branches of the Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain and the Consulate of Ukraine in Edinburgh have planted 30 Kalyna and 2 magnolia seedlings. The trees were planted on the Calton Hill near the Holodomor memorial on the territory of Ukrainian club, the Consulate of Ukraine and other symbolic places for Ukrainian people throughout Scotland.
Kalyna is a symbol of the unity of Ukrainian nation, cultural heritage, spiritual world and a craving for a native land and our traditions.
Together we save the planet and make the world a better place.
