On the 6th of September 2014 the Consul General of Ukraine paid a tribute to the 296 submariners of the Great Britain, the Netherlands, Norway, the Soviet Union and France, who died during the Second World War, whose home port was in Dundee (Scotland).
During the remembrance service led by the City of Dundee's Lord Provost, Bob Duncan, memory of the fallen seamen was honored by a minute of silence and wreaths were laid to the foot of
the Dundee International Submarine Memorial by Navy officers, Submariners Association, representatives of the Consular Corps (Ukraine, Poland, France, and Russia).
