“Ukraine and Scotland, Everlasting Beauty!”

This is the title chosen by a well-known Ukrainian artist Georgii Babiychuk for his new book dedicated to the works of Taras Shevchenko and Robert Burns.
The book includes selections of poetry by the two poets in both English and Ukrainian translated by eminent Ukrainian and English-speaking writers and translators as well as a number of sketches onsome aspects of history of Scotland and Ukraine.
There are many illustrations in the book including copies of the paintings by G.Babiychuk of Scotland and of Ukraine, compiled over the last twenty years.
The book’s launch in which its author took part was held on December 20, 2013 at the Consulate General of Ukraine in Edinburgh.
